My $80 exhaust clamp doesn't come with any bolts?!

That’s $80?! Some twisted steel with a few holes. That should be $40 at the most. And yea, not bolts coming with it is like a kick in the nuts.

That would have been $100.

What’s the part number? I wonder how much it would cost here. $80 seems outragious.
Also, any plans for the Torchbug?

Sounds like BMW part prices to me.

Doesn’t BMW stand for Broke My Wallet? At least that’s what I’ve heard.

Is that 1" wide bar stock, looks like what 1/16th” thickness, that has been turned into fancy shapes for $80.

Looks more like a $5 to $10 part to me. Probably cost less than $1 to make unless it’s made of some special high grade of steel used in rockets... and I doubt any special/expensive steel is being used here.

It’s actually two separate parts:
Very few sites even sell it. Most of the big ones like RockAuto don’t have it.
As far as the TTB goes, so far I haven’t had time to take it around and do a photoshoot. As of yet nobody has asked for it after me.
There’s a few events coming up that I want to take it to such as a car show and a county fair.

If it’s something they don’t produce in mass quantities anymore it would probably be a bit more than that. But yes, way overpriced, even at $40 it would be.

I’m paying for 16 years of warehouse storage fees is what I’m paying for.

I’ve looked at the bolts holding the old one on and I’m pretty sure they are not gonna come out intact.

Unless the warehouse was in Manhattan, I still say it’s way overpriced.

A short google search (in Europe) finds this . Aftermarket, but both parts plus bolts for €15.60, including German shipping.
I bet you’re paying the unofficial foreign car parts tax. The link makes it look like it’s for manual 6 cylinder cars only, which would explain why it’s such a rare part in the US but isn’t in Europe.
I found the OEM part ending in 235 for less than €40.

19th august to come on the trip with us.

Don’t know if I would trust it to get there on time even if I mail it out tomorrow.

Shame, thought the postage might be a problem. Maybe another time, I’ll hit up LALD and see if I can get on the list to get it or something (do they still organise it like that?)

No they don’t. The decision for me to get it came two weeks ago when I asked Duurtlang directly for it.
